Imagine this: Leiden is waking up, the first spectators are gathering along the route, and excitement is slowly building in the city. On 8 and 9 May 2027, Leiden will once again be all about running and walking during the 36th Leiden Marathon.
Every year, many thousands of runners and walkers come to Leiden for a sporting weekend with a special atmosphere. The combination of the historic city centre, the green surroundings, enthusiastic spectators and the dedication of many volunteers makes the Leiden Marathon an event with a character all of its own.
In 2027, we will once again be offering participants a wonderful and well-organised sporting experience.

If you want to take part, you’d be well advised to register quickly. In recent years, various distances have sold out well before registration closed. And we do not accept late registrations.

5 by PF Concept (5 km night run) – Saturday 8 May: €16
10 by Zorg en Zekerheid (10 km) – Sunday 9 May: €30
21 by Bunnig & Partners (21.097 km) – Sunday 9 May: €45
42 by SWIS (42.195 km) – Sunday 9 May: €75
